Cassidy Thigpen, LPC, CPCS

I’m a licensed professional counselor with multiple years of experience in the mental health field, in a variety of settings. Prior to my graduate education, I completed a year-long internship in Asheville, NC at Eliada Homes, a residential group home for children and teenagers struggling with developmental, behavioral, and emotional issues. I received my graduate training at Augusta University in Clinical Psychology, completing my practicum at YDC, the VA, and private practice.

I work with individuals struggling with a variety of problems, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and just a general feeling of malaise. I’ve worked in private practice for 10 years and I’m passionate about what I do. I utilize the person-centered approach developed by Carl Rogers and have found that the prime determinants of therapeutic growth are genuineness, empathy, and unconditional positive regard.
