Ava Chiovatero

I am a Master’s student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Augusta University completing my student internship at Augusta Counseling Professionals. I take a client-centered approach to therapy, drawing from feminist and multicultural frameworks to explore and honor each client’s lived experience. I enjoy incorporating somatic and mindfulness-based practices to help foster awareness, insight, and lasting growth. I aim to create a collaborative and affirming therapeutic space where you feel seen, heard, and valued, and where clients of all backgrounds are welcomed and affirmed.

I enjoy supporting adolescents and adults navigating disordered eating, eating disorders, body image challenges, anxiety, depression, and perfectionism. In our sessions together, you can expect a safe space for exploration and self-discovery, where we work collaboratively to understand and navigate the challenges you face.

Outside of work, I enjoy baking, crafting, and spending time with my cat. I’m also a certified yoga instructor and love practicing yoga whenever I can.
